Introduction

Welcome to SEOtest.app ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our free on-page SEO analysis tool.

Information We Collect

When you use SEOtest.app, we may collect the following types of information:

  • URLs submitted for analysis: The website URLs you enter for SEO analysis are processed to return results. We do not permanently store these URLs.
  • Email you give us: If you email us or subscribe to updates, we keep your email address so we can reply and, if you subscribed, send the occasional product update. Subscriptions are managed through Resend, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Feedback you send through the in-app widget: When you use the feedback button, your message is emailed to us. To help us reproduce the problem, the widget can also include your browser and operating system, screen resolution, the page URL you were on, and a screenshot of that page. If you grant location permission, it may include your approximate (IP-based) or precise (GPS) location. This information is only sent when you submit feedback, and we use it only to diagnose and respond.
  • Usage data: We collect anonymous usage statistics such as page views, time on site, and which tools are used, to see what to improve.
  • Cookies: Essential cookies keep the site working. Our advertising partner (Google AdSense) also sets cookies, described in the Advertising and Cookies section below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our SEO analysis services
  • To improve and optimize our tools and user experience
  • To analyze usage trends and measure the effectiveness of our features
  • To communicate with you regarding updates or support inquiries
  • To detect and prevent technical issues or abuse

Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. URLs submitted for analysis are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers. Analytics data may be retained for up to 26 months to help us understand long-term usage patterns.

Third-Party Services

We use a small set of third-party services to operate the site. Each is named below so you can review its own privacy policy:

  • Self-hosted infrastructure (Dokploy) — the application runs on our own server, orchestrated by Dokploy. Standard web-server logs may briefly record IP addresses and request metadata for operational and abuse-prevention purposes; these logs are not used to profile visitors.
  • Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and edge protection in front of the site. May process IP addresses and request metadata to route traffic and mitigate abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot challenge on form submissions. Processes a token and minimal browser signals to verify a real user. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Google AdSense — display advertising. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Details and opt-out links are in the Advertising and Cookies section below. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Resend — email delivery and subscription list. Contact-form and feedback messages are delivered through Resend, and if you subscribe to updates your email is stored as a contact so we can send them. Message content is not sold or used for unrelated marketing.
  • Google Fonts — typography. Served via the Next.js font pipeline, which self-hosts the font files; no Google Fonts cookies are set during normal browsing.

Advertising and Cookies (Google AdSense)

SEOtest.app displays advertising through Google AdSense. The following applies:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites on the Internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You may also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info (DAA) or youronlinechoices.eu (EDAA).
  • For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google operates in compliance with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework and will display a consent prompt before serving personalized ads.

GDPR (EU/EEA/UK Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our lawful basis for processing your information is legitimate interest in operating and improving the site (e.g., aggregate analytics) and, where required, your consent (e.g., personalized advertising). You may withdraw consent, request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data, or object to processing at any time by emailing [email protected].

CCPA (California Residents)

SEOtest.app does not sell personal information for money. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the sharing of certain identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share." You have the right to opt out at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." You also have the right to know, to delete, and to non-discrimination.

  • The right to opt-out of analytics tracking
